Updated Transportation Plan Elements

RECOMMENDED TRAIL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

The elements combined to create the recommended trail improvement plan incorporated the following objectives for the Harrison County multi-use trail system:

  1. Create a continuous east-west and north-south trail backbone through the county.
  2. Provide connectivity within and between the cities of Clarksburg and Bridgeport.
  3. Connect major activity centers (e.g., schools and recreational facilities).
  4. Better incorporate pedestrian and non-motorized vehicle activities into roadway corridors through providing for them in the roadway design.

A list and discussion of the recommended trail system improvements to be included in an overall backbone system are provided. Trails Plan & Trails Table
