RECOMMENDED PLAN
OVERVIEW
The Harrison County Transportation Plan provides a multi-modal program for addressing current and anticipated future transportation
needs for roadways/highways, transit, non-motorized facilities, air passenger service and freight movement within and through the county.
A key goal in the planning process is to provide an integrated system of transportation improvements, rather than a series of standalone
isolated improvements.
Through the system approach to project development, a more efficient use of limited transportation dollars can be achieved, because
numerous projects can be combined to attack a specific issue.
